Day 14- Flight home
Sleeping on the flight was comfortable, the chairs were more spacious and well cushioned, we could actually lay back in our chairs, it was nice but still a little uncomfortable. We all woke up at multiple points in the night so we all discussed sleeping over at Kaitlyn’s house until we were well rested and ready to go back home. Ananya brought a pack of playing cards so we played a few games until the flight attendants came around with refreshments. We all chose tea to brighten up our day and keep us from dozing off yet again. 10 minutes later, the captain was on the intercom and informing us that we would be landing shortly. Gathering my things, I told the others to do the same. I felt happy that we were home but at the meantime, I was disappointed the trip was over but at least in the end, I would have the memories of going with my friends. My ears popped not allowing me to hear out of my left ear so I stared out the window, counting down the seconds until we landed. I got to 1,694 seconds before we docked.
The landing was smooth and it was sun was welcoming, it appeared to be 68° and it was the best feeling ever, being able to stand without being confined in a crowded box. Entering the airport, we all brought our luggage to the entrance where we ordered an Uber to come pick us up which arrived in two minutes. After shoving our luggage into the back of the van and piling into the vehicle, we took off for Kaitlyn’s house. In the car, we talked with the driver about how we just came back from Korea and how we are obsessed with the country. After about fifteen minutes of driving, we arrived, where we thanked the driver and unloaded our stuff from the car. Kaitlyn had a mini panic attack when she thought she forgot her keys, but they were in her luggage all along. Upon entering the house, we all released a sigh of relief and immediately changed into pajamas and climbed into bed where we tried to doze off. No matter how tired we were, we couldn’t stop thinking of all the memories we shared in South Korea and how happy we all were. We ended up just talking and watching some cheesy korean love drama called “Strong Girl Bongsoon” which I am still questioning at this very moment. I now know I will be stuck with these now korean fanatics and I couldn’t be more content.
